Summer at Apple Blossom Tax Service: What We’re Up To

Hi friends,

It’s summertime, and while things at Apple Blossom Tax Service are still busy, it’s a different kind of busy. We wanted to give you a personal peek into what each of us is up to and share how the office is moving forward with returns, tax planning, and education. This one’s short and sweet—just a little update from our world to yours.

Melissa

This year, I started something new: every Wednesday, I spend the day with my 15-month-old grandson, Walker. We call it “Walker Wednesday,” and our latest adventure is exploring the Sonoma County Children’s Museum—if you haven’t been, definitely check it out! At home, we’re doing some remodeling (not fun, but necessary), and Lola has been coming to the office with me more often. She’s not the most welcoming greeter at first—she has to protect her mom—but she’ll warm up quickly and show you some love.

Jackie

Jackie is an avid horsewoman who spends her free time riding and caring for her three horses. She and her husband also manage a large garden and property. When she’s not in the office, she’s always working—just on different projects!

Britney

Exciting news—Britney is expecting her second child this fall! She and her husband already have a two-and-a-half-year-old son, and they’re getting ready to welcome another baby boy at the end of October. Maternity leave will begin in early October, and we hope to welcome her back in early February.

Marina

Marina is spending her summer running around with her son, who’s attending camps and staying busy. She’s doing an amazing job balancing office time and parenting, and we’re lucky to have her on the team.

Tiffany

Tiffany works remotely from Washington and is currently back in school pursuing her CPA. She’s balancing work and study like a pro—definitely keeping busy this summer!

Grayson & Jessica

Some more big news—Grayson and Jessica are engaged and planning their wedding for the end of August! We’re all so excited for them and can’t wait to celebrate their big day.

What’s Happening in the Office

We’re currently working on extended tax returns and encouraging clients to send in their documents soon—so we can get them wrapped up and turn our focus to what’s next: education and tax law updates.

As of today, there’s still no confirmed tax law. But once it passes, we’ve got continuing education booked through January to make sure we’re up to speed. We’ll be diving into intensive training to help us plan effectively for all of you. This year, tax planning will be especially important.

And if you’re one of our bookkeeping business clients, we’ve sent a letter about scheduling your year-end tax projection session. If you haven’t responded yet, give the office a call so we can get you on the calendar.

Years ago, summer felt slower and more relaxed. These days, it’s just a different season of work. We’re here, we’re learning, we’re planning, and as always—we’re ready to help.
